To commemorate the conclusion of the 7th Annual Dzogchen Lineage Internship and to celebrate the success of the Dzogchen Retreat Center USA, the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation is very pleased to invite all Sangha members, friends, donors, and communities to the 2014 Sangha Appreciation Reception. This is a precious opportunity to gather with sangha and His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Rinpoche for an evening of rejoicing in all of our virtuous Dharma activities and to find out about upcoming Dzogchen Lineage projects.
The 2014 Sangha Appreciation Reception will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, in the Columbia Ballroom at the
Valley River Inn
1000 Valley River Way
Eugene, OR 97401
Map and Directions
This event will be a $55 per person buffet dinner, with additional proceeds benefiting the Foundation’s upcoming publishing projects.
The goal of the Dzogchen Retreat Center USA is the establishment of a permanent place where all people can eradicate destructive emotions and negative thinking, the root of suffering in this world. By bringing the ancient wisdom of Dzogchen Lineage methods to the modern world, the retreat center is a proven training ground for this and future generations. These unique methods increase personal happiness, foster social harmony, and plant the seeds for world peace.
“Since acquiring the property in 2007, we’ve accomplished so much. It’s especially noteworthy now that we’ve honored intern graduates with degrees and diplomas and the ordination of eight lamas. “ says John Sullard, President of the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation. “We are thrilled once again to honor those who have made this all possible, all of our past, present, and future donors and volunteers. It’s also a great opportunity to share some of our exciting upcoming projects that are now gaining momentum thanks to everyone’s support and generosity.”
Our venue, the Columbia Ballroom at the Valley River Inn, is one of Eugene’s finest event spaces and hotel located along the Willamette River. The afternoon’s festivities will include presentations honoring Sangha members, announcements about upcoming Dzoghen Lineage Dharma activites, musical entertainment, exhibitions of holy objects, and much more.
