Rate Information for the Spring
Dzogchen Retreat
Before you make your payment,
you
must first register online.
Please help us by paying as soon as possible,
after you register, no later than April 2 please.
What are the fees I need to pay to complete
my registration?
Please read
the rest of this section carefully, and then add up your total payment
based on the following information:
Resident Rate: All retreatants, including Bay Area
people with nearby homes, are encouraged to stay at the Retreat Center.
Residential
retreatants receive facility use, all meals (Friday dinner – Monday
breakfast), and 3 nights lodging at a very reasonable price. Staying on-site
will help you be on time for the teachings.
Adult (18 and up) = $229
Teen (ages 13-17) = $203
Youth (ages 6-12) = $169
Child (ages 0-5) = $45
Commuter Rate: For attendees who are unable to stay at
the Retreat Center during the retreat, we offer somewhat reduced rates.
Commuting retreatants (who stay at other accommodations, such as at a home
or at a hotel) receive facility use and all meals (Friday dinner – Monday
breakfast):
Adult (18 and up) = $179
Teen (ages 13-17) = $158
Youth (ages 6-12) = $131
Child (ages 0-5) = $35 Please note that the retreat will not be set up
for daycare. If deciding to bring kids, keep in mind that the teachings
may be challenging for many kids to handle since there will be so many
hours of quiet sitting during teachings and practice sessions.
Donations to Sponsor Other Retreatants
You may also donate money today that is earmarked to be used
to sponsor other retreatants to be able to attend this retreat. We rejoice in
your
good merit if you can help in this way. This money will need to be donated in
advance of the retreat please.
Donations to Dzogchen Buddha Institute
(welcome anytime)
All fees listed above go toward lodging, meals, and
insurance provided through Point Bonita Retreat Center, which has no affiliation
with event organizer
Dzogchen Buddha Institute. The fees collected are for the estimated hard
expenses of the Dzogchen Buddha Institute, a non-profit organization. Additional
donations to the Dzogchen Buddha Institute are welcomed anytime. You
can include such a donation as part of your registration payment, or make
it separately during or after the retreat. Please make it clear what part
of your payment is a donation to the Institute.
Teacher Donations (during the retreat
please)
The teachings themselves are freely given by Rinpoche.
For those not aware of Buddhist tradition, it is good to know that a
voluntary generous donation directly to the Vajra Master is appropriate
after receiving such precious
teachings. Typically this is done on the final day of the retreat
when a line of students forms to place donations on the altar next to the
teacher and to receive a blessing or to exchange a few words. The organizers
encourage
you to bring extra cash or your checkbook to the retreat for this purpose.
Envelopes and details will be provided at the retreat. We prefer
if you do not include
donations for Rinpoche with your registration payment.
